Kozhikode: In a vibrant display of sportsmanship and social responsibility, Holy Cross College successfully organized a thrilling Shoot-Out Competition and Fans Show as part of ‘Operation Toofan’, an anti-drug awareness campaign aimed at curbing substance abuse among students. The event beautifully blended the soaring enthusiasm of the football World Cup with a powerful message for the community.

The campus came alive as students proudly donned jerseys representing various nations, creating a festive atmosphere. The celebration was further elevated by high-energy highlights, including a captivating flash mob and a live performance by the college music band.

  • Grand Inauguration: The event was officially inaugurated by the college Principal, Dr. Sister Shiny George, who kicked off the celebrations by scoring the ceremonial first goal in the shoot-out competition.

  • Collaborative Effort: The initiative was jointly organized under the leadership of the Holy Cross College Union, the College Sports Department, and the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit.

  • Dignitaries in Attendance: The event was graced and guided by College Manager Sister July Augustine, along with Dr. Martin Bernard, Dr. Vineeth Mathew, A.S. Karthik, Lijo Joseph, Joby Mathew, Muhammed Fahmin, Iblas, Abdul Azeez, and S. Arjun.
