Department Overview

Department of Fashion Designing started BSc Costume and Fashion Designing in 2007-2008 and began MSc in Apparel Design and Technology in 2012-2013 which was later restructured as MSc Fashion and Textile Designing affiliated to the University of Calicut. The department aims to create academic excellence through high standard learning experience that nurture students’ potentials and inculcate distinctive skills and values for successful careers and to provide services for the development of industry and society. The Department of Fashion believes in setting standards and works towards achieving the goals which resulted in the academic excellence of fashion students achieving 100% pass percentage in MSc with University toppers during these years. The department faculty and students had worked in various projects in partnership with various association and departments for the betterment of financially and socially backward people

Facilitate innovative entrepreneurs and socially responsible professionals to devise the process of creativity and experimentation in the world of fashion.

Enrich the ethnic and modern aspects of creative fabrics and integrated designing sense in students, to trigger a contemporary note of gender fluid trends in the fashion industry through incorporating sustainable and multidisciplinary approach.
