Anti Narcotic Cell
The Anti-Drugs Student Organisation (ADSO), established in 2015 at Holy Cross College, focuses on sensitizing students to the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. In 2022, ADSO merged with the Anti-Narcotics Cell to enhance its impact on combating drug use on campus and in the community. Through a variety of activities such as seminars, workshops, rallies, and awareness programs, ADSO aims to foster compassion, social responsibility, and a helping mentality among students. These initiatives are designed not only to educate students about the detrimental effects of drug abuse but also to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to support their peers in leading drug-free lives. Participation in ADSO’s programs benefits students by enhancing their awareness of drug-related issues, strengthening their sense of social responsibility, and building resilience against drug abuse. Activities like rallies and workshops offer practical insights into the consequences of drug use, while motivational seminars and awareness campaigns provide a platform for students to engage with experts and peers on this critical issue. Programs such as the anti-drug football competition encourage students to adopt healthier lifestyle choices and foster a sense of community and teamwork. By actively participating in these initiatives, students not only contribute to creating a safer and healthier campus environment but also develop valuable skills and a supportive network that can positively influence their personal and academic lives.
