Department Overview

The Department commenced its journey from July 2015 with the initiation of bachelor’s programme in Economics. The Department incorporated MA in Business Economics from August 2015 under the affiliation of University of Calicut. The Department is always enriched with energetic, robust, and highly qualified faculties with research degrees who have the inbuilt ability to transform students from their budding stage to full-fledged personalities to face any challenges in their life. The faculty with the best teaching practices and with the support of the modern facilities, equipment, and advanced technology and through continuous and regular assessment of students learning outcome bring out the best result in the discipline. Conducting certificate programmes and research methodology workshops has been a regular activity of the Department. The students in the department are given multiple dimensions of wellness, including emotional, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual dimensions. They are also provided with support and resources that not only for the enhancement of academic achievement, but also help to address the need for support in other areas of life.
