The NSS Unit and Women Development Cell of Holy Cross Institute of Management and Technology (HCIMT), in partnership with Vaidya Ratnam Ayurveda Aushadhashala, took a remarkable step towards promoting traditional wellness practices by organizing a vibrant walkathon focused on Ayurveda. This event was designed to educate and inspire students and the community to embrace Ayurveda’s natural healing methods and preventive care, aligning with the broader mission of nurturing holistic health. The event was inaugurated by the Honourable MLA Shri Ahammed Devarkovil, who commended the students and organizers for their commitment to health awareness. His opening speech highlighted Ayurveda’s potential in modern healthcare, emphasizing how this ancient system of medicine encourages balance, natural remedies, and lifestyle practices that foster long-term wellness. As participants embarked on the walkathon, the spirit of the event was fueled by the enthusiastic energy of students, faculty, and community members, who collectively represented the unity and commitment to promoting health in its most natural form. Walking along the pre-planned route, the participants displayed banners and placards that underscored the importance of Ayurveda and showcased the wide range of health benefits associated with its practices, such as improved immunity, stress management, and preventive care. The walkathon concluded at the iconic Manachira Square, where students further engaged the public with a vibrant flash mob performance. The flash mob added a dynamic touch to the event, drawing a significant audience and enhancing the program’s impact.
