The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Holy Cross College, Kozhikode, in collaboration with the District Social Justice Department and the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, successfully organized a comprehensive anti-drug awareness campaign under the project ‘Operation Toofaan’. The event was held across major locations, including the Thusharagiri Tourist Centre and Vattachira Unnathi.

Key Highlights of the Campaign

To effectively convey the message of a drug-free society, the NSS volunteers organized a series of engaging public awareness activities:

  • Anti-Drug Rally: A vibrant awareness march was conducted to sensitize locals and tourists.

  • Flash Mob: Students performed an energetic flash mob at the Thusharagiri tourist destination to capture public attention and highlight the perils of substance abuse.

  • Door-to-Door Campaign: Volunteers visited local households and communities to spread direct awareness about the Nasha Mukt Bharat initiative.

Inauguration and Dignitaries

The official campaign was inaugurated by Smt. Annakutty Devasya, President of the Kodenchery Grama Panchayat.
