The IQAC, HCIMT organized an insightful seminar on positive parenting for the parents of first-year undergraduate students on 27th July 2024. The session aimed to equip parents with effective parenting techniques and foster a supportive environment for the academic and personal growth of their children. The seminar was expertly conducted by Dr. Lambert Kishor, a distinguished psychologist and retired professor who formerly headed the Research Department of Zoology at Malabar Christian College, Calicut. Dr. Kishor is renowned for his extensive knowledge and experience in both psychology and education, making him an ideal speaker for this crucial topic. He highlighted the role of parents in nurturing their children’s self-esteem, promoting healthy communication, and fostering resilience. Through a combination of theoretical insights and practical examples, Dr. Kishor provided parents with actionable strategies to create a positive and encouraging home environment.
