Kozhikode: In a vibrant display of creativity and advocacy, students of Holy Cross College have turned the campus entrance into a canvas for environmental awareness. The walls on either side of the main gate now feature intricate murals that celebrate the beauty of the natural world while emphasizing our collective duty to protect it.
Through imagery of lush greenery, flowing rivers, and diverse wildlife, the artwork serves as a visual manifesto for a “Zero Waste Campus.” The paintings symbolically advocate for a plastic-free environment and the preservation of clean water sources. Principal Dr. Sr. Shiny George noted that these paintings are “powerful visual lessons” intended to move environmentalism from textbooks into daily lifestyle choices. This initiative not only beautifies the campus but also serves as an inspiration for the local community and passersby.
