Kozhikode: In an exemplary display of community service, the National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of Holy Cross College have launched a dedicated support and awareness campaign to assist the public with the Census 2027 Self-Enumeration process.
With the government rolling out the self-enumeration facility on June 16—allowing citizens to securely fill out and submit their census data online via mobile phones before official door-to-door visits begin—our NSS unit quickly stepped up to bridge the digital divide.
Key Highlights of the Initiative:
-
Campus Help Desk: The volunteers have set up a fully operational Self-Enumeration Help Desk inside the campus to guide students, staff, and visitors through the digital registration process.
-
Door-to-Door Community Outreach: Moving beyond the campus walls, the NSS volunteers have been actively visiting households in Manasa Gramam and surrounding residential areas to create awareness and directly assist families in completing their online census documentation.
-
Student Leadership: The initiative is being actively led by dedicated NSS volunteers, including Anamika Suryakanth, Al Sabith, Aishwarya K.V., Anamika P., Aadith P., and Devananda K.A.
Holy Cross College commends our NSS unit for taking up this crucial civic responsibility and helping the local community navigate this important national digital initiative smoothly.
