The Department of Women and Child Development, Kerala in association with Women Development Cell, HCIMT had organised KANAL, an orientation programme on Gender Awareness and Self Defence on 5th October 2023. The Programme was inaugrated by Ms. Sabeena Beegam M.S, District  Women and Child Development Officer.The programme aimed to promote and encourage a general understanding of gender-related challenges, for instance, violence against women and the gender pay gap. It also aims to show how values and norms influence our reality, reinforce stereotypes and support the structures that produce inequalities.
