The Department of Social Work observed the day with all the importance due to it. They coloured the day with various programmes inside and outside the campus. The official inauguration of the observance day was done by Dr. Sr. Shiny George, the Principal, in the presence of Sr. Lincy Cherian, the Manager, Mrs. Rajasree V., IQAC Coordinator, Mr Jose Mathew K, the HoD and other staff members and students of the department.

Following this function, the students visited all the classes of the college to convey the message of Social Work Day and they distributed sweets to all.

Later in the afternoon, the trainees of the department visited 4 Destitute Homes run by UDAYAM PROJECT inside Kozhikode city in which there are altogether 400 destitutes. The students divided themselves into four groups and conducted various programmes, including an awareness class on personal hygiene and games for the inmates.
